Documentary Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me DVD

‘As heartbreaking as it is uplifting…warm, funny, and full of the music that defined a generation’ Rolling Stone

With worldwide hits such as Wichita Lineman and Rhinestone Cowboy, legendary country and Western artist Glen Campbell has released more than 70 albums, sold 45 million plus records earning gold and platinum albums galore, including nine number ones in a career that has spanned some 60 years. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005 and earned a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012.

In 2011 Glen Campbell set out on an unprecedented tour, across the US, Australia and Europe with more than 150 sell out performances. But this was no ordinary tour, he had recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer's, but instead of hanging up his cowboy boots and waiting to succumb to the inevitable he and his wife announced his illness and the intended farewell tour to the World.

His incredible tour and struggle with the devastating effects of the disease has been documented by James Keach in the moving feature documentary Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me, which makes its UK DVD debut courtesy of Simply Media on 23 May 2016.

From the initial diagnosis at the clinic, through to the performances and the deterioration of his health, filmmaker James Keach joins Glen Campbell and his family on this incredible and heartbreaking journey.

The film features the wonderful music that defined Campbell’s career, alongside poignant performance footage, intimate family moments and an eye-opening look at an illness that affects many lives.

There are also special appearances from a host of famous fans and friends including Bruce Springsteen, The Edge, Paul McCartney, Blake Shelton, Sheryl Crow, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift, Steve Martin, Bill Clinton and many more.
